On June 27 I will speak about Romanian poet Eugen Jebeleanu's "The Smile of Hiroshima" and nuclear imagination in communist Romania, while Inan Oner will discuss representations of the atomic bomb in Turkish poet Nazım Hikmet's work. This event is part of a series organized at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, which will lead up (we hope) to the publication of a new anthology of world poetry translated into poetry on the atomic bomb/ nuclear energy.
You can join us online or face to face; the presentations will be in Japanese.
We are also looking for presenters who can introduce poetry on the atomic bomb/ nuclear energy in their native languages!
